Brembo presents: the *Stylema* brake calliper with its modern design. It looks like a little “work of art” and at the same time meets the highest technical requirements. The Brembo *Stylema* is very compactly built and amazingly light while also being extremely effective.
TECHNOLOGY
The aesthetic qualities harmonise perfectly with state-of-the-art technologies.
Compared to previous callipers, Stylema® has been designed to be drier around the pistons and pads by reducing the internal spaces filled with brake fluid, speeding up the response behaviour. The weight has been reduced by approximately seven percent. Reduced external dimensions and calliper height, along with mounting bolts shortened by five millimetres, ensure all this without compromising system rigidity. This has been redefined in all the important components, taking into account the changed arrangement. For example, the outer bridges now have a more direct connection to the piston seats.
Due to the increased air flow immediately around the pads, Stylema® cools down extremely quickly. This is because the permeable areas around the pistons have been enlarged and an opening for the air outlet has been created in the middle bridge.
DESIGN
The balanced shape was the result of the urgent need to reduce mass. Every superfluous gramme had to go. Precise and essential lines characterise the geometric surfaces - as they do elsewhere on the top-of-the-range motorbikes on which the new Stylema® calliper is used.
The two raised ribs are simultaneously structural and design elements that lend the product a dynamic and robust look and provide an ideal site for the Brembo logo. With its two edges, the air intake – a central element which joins the upper rib – lends that little bit of extra aggression and sleekness to the calliper design.

Stylema®: a natural and spontaneous fusion of the two terms Stilema (Italian for “originator’s stylistic elements”) and Style.
