OS retaining plate for BMW GS Adventure FOR BMW GS ADV. RIGHT
The original BMW Motorrad pannier racks for the BMW R 1200 GS LC Adventure of the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure and the BMW R 850 GS Adventure are designed for mounting aluminum housings and do not have a flat standard profile on the exhaust side. This special edition OS plate for these bikes includes a stainless steel adapter to flatten the profile and provide a secure mount for the OS plate so you can mount the Kriega Soft bags.
The adapter is laser cut stainless steel that attaches to the OS plate with 3 bolts and Nyloc nuts. It attaches to the top of the BMW frame with 2 aluminum clamps. The remaining 4 clamps attach the OS plate directly to the frame, providing a very strong and stable base to mount an OS case or OS adventure packs.

The BMW case holder on the opposite side of the exhaust (left) is flat, so the OS plate pipe fit from 16 mm to 20 mm (10067824) is mounted there.

Dom Longman and Michael Cottam are the fathers of the Kriega brand. The motorcycle-mad product designers were already working in the outdoor industry when they joined forces in 2000 to design the optimal luggage for their own tours. The two had very clear priorities: Function always comes first. Appearance and pricing are secondary. By the way: US at Kriega stands for Universal System and OS for Overlander System. The latter is specially designed for particularly tough off-road use.
