Description
Lithium-ion batteries LFP9L 12V/XXWH
Are you looking for an inexpensive lithium starter battery that is also lightweight and super compact? Then the Louis Parts lithium battery is just right for you.
These power packs have everything your bike needs:
Information on converting from lead/acid to Li-ion batteries:
If necessary, only use chargers designed for Li-ion batteries, see ‘compatible products’.
Good to know:
Due to their specific properties, lead-acid batteries can only use 30% of their capacity, while lithium-ion batteries can use almost 100% of their capacity. Therefore, the lithium versions of Louis Parts batteries require only about 1/3 of the capacity (lower ampere hours) of a comparable lead-acid battery for the same starting power.
These power packs have everything your bike needs:
- The charge status is regulated by a processor (balancer) and ensures the highest safety standard for current lithium-ion batteries Smaller and lighter than gel or AGM batteries
- Powerful, high starting performance
- Can be installed in any position (upright, horizontal, angled, as no acid can leak)
- Robust housing
- Includes adhesive pads for versatile applications
- Battery indicator
- Low self-discharge
- Long service life
- Charges faster than conventional batteries
- No memory effect
Information on converting from lead/acid to Li-ion batteries:
- The conversion from a conventional starter battery (lead battery) to a lithium battery is generally possible on almost all motorcycles
- If the conversion does not cause any problems or restrictions, no action is required
- Note the year of manufacture of the motorcycle – was it delivered from the factory with a lead battery? Many older motorcycles have alternator regulators that only charge lithium batteries incompletely or deliver excessive charging currents.
- This is also due to normal wear and tear on the regulators over the years. Both can lead to a significant reduction in the service life of Li batteries, defects and even total failure.
- Check the function and performance of your motorcycle's charge current regulator before converting to a lithium-ion battery.
- Ideally, use a voltmeter on the battery terminals to check how high the charging voltage rises when you increase the idle speed. The charging voltage should remain below 14.6 volts.
- If in doubt, or to be on the safe side, replace the old regulator with a Carmo Li-ion alternator regulator, see ‘compatible products’.
If necessary, only use chargers designed for Li-ion batteries, see ‘compatible products’.
