Important notes
Brake-Discs Floating Disc FRONT, 330MM,FLOAT.,W.ABE
With its *Oro* series and *Genuine* product lines, Brembo makes a complete range of brake discs to meet every requirement. They are the same quality as brake discs supplied to the manufacturers of the world's most exciting motorbikes.
Brembo *Oro* brake discs from Brembo® are the best on the market - top-quality high-tech products. Multiple processing cycles ensure minimal tolerances and optimal flatness and concentricity.
These "floating" discs are made with top-quality materials to give unbeatable performance. They comprise a stainless-steel brake band (braking surface) connected by 10 drive pins to the inner section, which is made of CNC-machined, anodised aluminium alloy.
- The brake discs are supplied individually; for double-disc systems, please order two
- Read the enclosed safety instructions prior to installation
Specifications:
- Replacement for the OEM brake disc
- Semi-floating version with 10 floaters, riveted
- Inner section made of special aluminium, CNC-machined and black anodised
- Perforated stainless-steel brake ring
- With type approval for Germany
Please note:
- If, as with Order no. 10043417 (Harley Davidson models, rear) a fixed brake disc is replaced with a floating disc, it is important to check that the floaters can move freely.
- Our YouTube video "How to: change brake discs" shows you exactly how to do the job.

Around 50 years ago, the Italian company started out producing brake discs for cars. Further brake system components such as brake calipers and brake pumps followed. In 1972, Brembo supplied brakes as original equipment for Moto Guzzi for the first time. From 1975, Ferrari Formula 1 cars began using Brembo brake technology. Today Brembo is the OEM for BMW, KTM, Harley-Davidson, Ducati and MV Agusta, among others.Brembo has dominated the motorcycle racing scene for many years now: over 20 titles in both the MotoGP and Superbike World Championship are impressive evidence of the superiority of Brembo's brake technology. And the secrets behind this success story? A passion for racing, the determination to always be the best, lots of meticulous development work and relentlessly high requirements on the quality of materials and workmanship.

MAINTENANCE:
Stainless steel should be cleaned regularly like all other materials, especially after exposure to salty air (near the coast), and also at regular intervals.
Water can easily collect in corners, edges and screw connections, resulting in corrosion. So careful cleaning is important, and if necessary screws should be undone in order to clean the parts thoroughly.
Do not leave rusty steel parts against stainless steel to avoid the rust "contamination".
To ensure that it gives you many years of service, please observe the following care instructions:
1. After installing the product, and each time you wash your motorbike, apply a wax-based care product, e.g. Procycle Polishing Wax, Order no. 10004923 for protection against wind and weather. You may need to repeat the application after an outing in winter weather, rain or salty air (near the coast).
2. Remove any corrosion as soon as possible using a standard aluminium polish (e.g. Autosol Aluminium Polish, Order no. 10004421).
The ECE R90 regulation defines a set of internationally harmonized technical standards governing the design, performance, and safety of replacement brake components for road vehicles, including motorbikes. It ensures that aftermarket brake pads meet uniform, controlled performance parameters comparable to those of original equipment parts.
ECE R90 has been incorporated into European legislation as part of the broader EU vehicle safety regulation. For motorbikes within the applicable scope, ECE R90 approval replaces previous national certifications and serves as the mandatory standard for brake pad homologation.
With the introduction of ECE R90, the European approval system for replacement brake pads has been completely harmonized. In Germany, this regulation replaces the previous national ABE approval, which was issued by the KBA for all motorcycle models covered by R90. As a result, parts for newer vehicles no longer require separate German approvals; instead, they require the ECE R90 type approval mark as legally valid certification.
Scope
Only brake pads that have successfully passed the mandatory ECE R90 test procedures may be sold, distributed, or installed on regulated motorcycle models within the European Union and other regions that recognize UNECE regulations.
Motorbike brake pads covered by ECE R90 may only be marketed after the regulation comes into force if they bear a valid approval number and proper marking. For older motorbikes that fall outside the scope of the regulation, previous national approval procedures may continue to apply.
ECE R90 test requirements
To obtain ECE R90 homologation, motorcycle brake pads must undergo comprehensive testing that combines both an evaluation of performance in the vehicle and a laboratory analysis of physical properties. These tests ensure that the friction material properties of the replacement pads are at the same level as the OEM components, within the permissible tolerance range.
Safety-related performance tests
- Hot friction coefficient
- Average operating coefficient of friction
- Static friction (parking brake function, where applicable)
- Speed-dependent coefficient of friction behavior
- Compressibility
- Shear strength
- Thermal conductivity and heat transfer behavior
Marking requirements
ECE R90-approved motorcycle brake pads must bear a permanent marking on the backing plate. This marking includes the Emark (a circled E with the country code) and the unique R90 approval number to ensure complete product traceability and legal identification.
